April Campaign Update
Posted April 9th, 2008 by Carol WolmanThe Carol Wolman for Congress (CW4C) campaign is picking up speed. We have been blessed with a campaign manager, Brian Varkevisser, who is currently managing Estelle Paley Clifton's campaign for 2nd District Supervisor in Mendocino County. I interviewed him in his home town of Hopland last Monday, and was quite impressed. We found ourselves in agreement on the overall direction of the campaign, and I feel that with his experience, my chances of winning in November have improved significantly.
Here is Greg Bourget's description of Brian's database skills:
Campaign Report
Posted March 28th, 2008 by Carol WolmanDear Friends,
Thank you all, so much, for your help in getting this far with the Green Congressional campaign for Congress in CA District 1. As you all know, I'm on the ballot, and only had to pay $44 for 4 missing signatures. There were teams collecting in Arcata, Eureka, Redway, Ukiah, Ft. Bragg, Mendocino, Pt. Arena, and Davis! You all got over 200 signatures, and 146 were of valid registered Green voters.
Impeachment is essential for cleansing the national soul
Posted February 8th, 2008 by Carol WolmanWithout impeachment, Bush and Cheney, the greatest criminals in American history will get away with it. They will walk away scot free, having wrecked the US Constitution, with the collusion of Congress. They will walk away with billions, perhaps trillions, of American taxpayer money funneled into their pockets, via their family corporations Carlyle and Halliburton, which have benefited enormously from the Iraq boondoggle. And We the People are allowing it to continue.
Hard Times
Posted January 26th, 2008 by Carol WolmanDear Friends,
We are all reading about the economic crunch that is upon us; it will only get worse. It affects us locally in many ways. The price of gas impacts our coastal community, where we have to drive long distances to go shopping or visit friends. The real estate crisis is forcing landlords to raise their rents, and more people are becoming homeless.
